6. Use of Cookies
When you visit our site or interact with us through your device we may collect “User Activity Information” through cookies, web beacons and other similar or related technologies (collectively, “cookies”). Cookies are small text files saved on your device via your browser as you visit our site. Web beacons (also known as pixels or tags) are a common form of web technology used on our site to monitor visits to certain pages within, interactions with, and the effectiveness of, our sites and our marketing efforts.

User Activity Information we collect through cookies includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, device characteristics (such as connection type, operating system, browser type, screen resolution), location information, user ID, and your interactions with our site and ads, such as which web pages you visit, your keyword searches, and the products or product categories viewed. In addition, while User Activity Information does not generally identify or relate to you as an individual, we may associate this type of information with you as an individual and may also determine your general location from this information. Our website also recognizes Global Privacy Control signals. You can also delete or disable cookies through your web browser’s settings, as discussed in Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, and Safari. You may opt out of the use of Google

Analytics. Read the Google Analytics policy here.

To learn more about managing your preferences for ads online see the resources made available by the Digital Advertising Alliance at http://www.aboutads.info/ or via the Network Advertising Initiative at http://optout.networkadvertising.org/. You may also opt out of interest-based advertising on an iOS or Android device by selecting the “Limit Ad Tracking” option in the device’s settings.
We do not respond to Do Not Track (DNT) signals and handle all user information as permitted by law consistent with our Terms of Use and this Online Privacy Policy.

7. Use of Automated Technologies and Interactions
As you interact with our website, we may automatically collect Technical Data and Usage Data about you. Some of the ways in which we or our website may collect are described below:

This website uses Web Analytics, Google Analytics and Google Remarketing services provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). All clients who have an SEO maintenance program with our company have agreed that their Google Analytics (GA) information can be imported into SE Ranking.

Google Analytics and Google Remarketing use “Cookies” – text files which are stored on your computer and allow us to analyze your use of our website. The information generates cookies about your use of this website (including your IP address), which will be transmitted to Google and stored on servers in the United States. Google will use the information to evaluate your use of our website, to compile reports about website activity for website operators, and to provide other services related to website activity and Internet usage.

Google will also transfer this information to third parties if required by law, or if third parties process this data on Google’s behalf. Google will never associate your IP address with other Google data. You can prevent the installation of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly; however, please note that if you do this, you may not be able to use the full functionality of our website. By using our website, you agree to the processing of data about you by Google in the manner and for the purposes described above.

You can opt-out of the collection of data for the future at any time by using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on at: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en

Please note that this website uses Google Analytics with the extension “_anonymizeIp()”. As a result, IP addresses are stored exclusively in anonymous form, which rules out direct personal reference in connection with the stored data.

Using Google Remarketing allows third parties, including Google, to serve ads to sites on the Internet. Third parties, including Google, use stored cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to our site. In addition, we use Google Analytics to analyze data from Google
Ads and the DoubleClick-Cookie for statistical purposes and to display relevant targeted ads for you.

If you do not want this to happen, you can disable this function via the Ads Preferences Manager at: https://adssettings.google.com/u/0/authenticated?hl=en. Alternatively, you can disable the DoubleClick-Cookies via the Digital Advertising Alliance website at the following link: http://www.aboutads.info/choices/

We may also use Interest-Based Advertising. We may engage third-party vendors to use your information in connection with their own information to deliver targeted advertising to you when you visit our website or other websites. Cookies, as described above, may be used in this process. For example, if you are searching for information on a particular product, our vendor may cause an advertisement to appear on other websites you view with information on that product. This form of advertising is called “behavioral advertising”. We believe that such advertising is helpful because you will see ads that are relevant to your interests. However, if you would like to opt-out of these advertisements, please see the Opt-out section below. Additionally, we may make use of Clickstream Data. As you use the Internet, a trail of electronic information is left at each website you visit. This information, sometimes referred to as “clickstream data,” can be collected and stored by a website’s server. For example, clickstream data can tell the type of computer and browsing software you use and the address of the website from which you linked to the website. The website may collect and use clickstream data as a form of aggregate information to anonymously determine how much time visitors spend on each page of our website, how visitors navigate throughout the website and how we may tailor our website to better meet the needs of visitors. This information often will be used to improve our website and our services. Any collection or use of clickstream data will be anonymous and aggregated and will not intentionally contain any personal information.

8. Use of Social Media Plugins
Our website includes links to third-party websites, plug-ins and applications. Clicking on those links or enabling those connections may allow third parties to collect or share data about you. We do not control these third-party websites and are not responsible for their privacy statements. When you leave our website, we encourage you to read the privacy policy of every website you visit.

Our website may integrate with social networking services. You understand that we do not control such services and are not liable for the manner in which they operate. While we may provide you with the ability to use such services in connection with our Website, we are doing so merely as an accommodation and, like you, are relying upon those third-party services to operate properly and fairly.

You should be aware that information which you voluntarily include and transmit online in a publicly accessible blog, social networks or otherwise online may be viewed and used by others. We are unable to control such uses of your information, and by using such services you assume the risk that the information provided by you may be viewed and used by third parties. Specifically, some of our web pages include Facebook, Twitter and Google+ buttons. We now inform you about the individual social media plugins we use, as follows:

i) Facebook Plugin
We use the “Facebook-Button” Plugin on our web pages, which is developed by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (Facebook). You can use it to inform your friends whether you like our website, and to reference or share content. The plugin is indicated by the Facebook logo or by the addition of a “Like” label. Personal data can be transferred to Facebook via the plugin if you are logged in on that site.

When you visit our site, your data will be transmitted to Facebook to the same extent that it would be if you visited their website, even if you are not a registered user on Facebook and do not click a plugin on our pages. In this case, however, Facebook is not immediately able to make any direct personal reference by, for example, establishing your IP address. This would only be possible via information from your service provider.

Where applicable, the following data will be transmitted:
– IP address
– Your user ID, if you are registered and logged in to Facebook
– Date and time of your visit
– Browser version and operating system you are using, and screen resolution
– Visitor origins (Referrer), if you followed a link
– Installed plugins like Flash or Adobe Reader
– URL of our page on which the plugin is integrated.

If you are registered with Facebook, then their data protection regulations, which can be found at: https://www.facebook.com/privacy/explanation will also apply. This privacy policy also explains the precise purpose of the transmitted data.

ii) Google My Business
We use the Google My Business integration, developed by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”), on our website.

When you visit a page containing the Google My Business plugin, information may be transmitted to Google about the pages you have visited. If you are logged into your Google account at the time, Google may associate this information with your Google account. This transmission can occur without any direct interaction with the plugin and can only be avoided by logging out of your Google account before visiting the respective pages.

If you interact with the Google My Business plugin (for example, by submitting a review or engaging with a listing), this information will also be transmitted to and stored by Google. You can prevent this data transfer by logging out of your Google account before performing such
interactions.

For more details about how Google collects and processes data through Google My Business, including your rights and options to protect your privacy, please refer to Google’s Privacy Policy at: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en

9. Marketing communications and opt out
Our lawful ground of processing your personal data to send you marketing communications is either your consent or our legitimate interests (namely to grow our business). Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, we may send you marketing communications from us if (i) you made a purchase or asked for information from us about our goods or services or (ii) you agreed to receive marketing communications (including newsletters) and in each case you have not opted out of receiving such communications since.

Under these regulations, if you are a limited company, we may send you marketing emails without your consent. However, you can still opt out of receiving marketing emails from us at any time.

Before we share your personal data with any third party for their own marketing purposes, we will get your express consent. You can ask us or third parties to stop sending you marketing messages at any time by following the opt-out links on any marketing message sent to you OR
by emailing us at [email protected] .

If you opt out of receiving marketing communications this opt-out does not apply to personal data provided as a result of other transactions, such as purchases, warranty registrations, etc.

10. Your rights, information
Under data protection laws you have rights in relation to your personal data that include the right to request access, correction, erasure, restriction, transfer, to object to processing, to portability of data and (where the lawful ground of processing is consent) to withdraw consent.

If you wish to exercise any of the rights set out above, please email us at [email protected].

You will not have to pay a fee to access your personal data (or to exercise any of the other rights). However, we may charge a reasonable fee if your request is clearly unfounded, repetitive or excessive or refuse to comply with your request in these circumstances.

We may need to request specific information from you to help us confirm your identity and ensure your right to access your personal data (or to exercise any of your other rights). This is a security measure to ensure that personal data is not disclosed to any person who has no right to receive it. We may also contact you to ask you for further information in relation to your request to speed up our response.

We try to respond to all legitimate requests within one month. Occasionally, it may take us longer than a month if your request is particularly complex or you have made a number of requests. In this case, we will notify you.

11. California privacy
If you are a California resident this section applies to you:
Under California Law, California residents have the right to request in writing from businesses with whom they have an established business relationship, (a) a list of the categories of personally identifiable information, such as name, email address and mailing address and the type of services provided to the customer that a business has disclosed to third parties (including affiliates that are separate legal entities) during the immediately preceding calendar year for the third parties’ direct marketing purposes and (b) the names and addresses of all such third parties.

To request the above information, please contact us at [email protected].

– The right to request restriction of processing of your personal data. This enables you to ask us to suspend the processing of your personal data in the following scenarios: (a) if you want us to establish the data’s accuracy; (b) where our use of the data is unlawful but you do not want us to erase it; (c) where you need us to hold the data even if we no longer require it as you need it to establish, exercise or defend legal claims; or (d) you have objected to our use of your data but we need to verify whether we have overriding legitimate grounds to use it.
– The right to request the transfer of your personal data to you or to a third party. We will provide to you, or a third party you have chosen, your personal data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format. Note that this right only applies to automated information which you initially provided consent for us to use or where we used the information to perform a contract with you.
– The right to withdraw consent at any time where we are relying on consent to process your personal data. However, this will not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before you withdraw your consent. If you withdraw your consent, we may not be able to provide certain products or services to you. We will advise you if this is the case at the time you withdraw your Consent.

You will not have to pay a fee to access your personal data (or to exercise any of the other rights). However, we may charge a reasonable fee if your request is clearly unfounded, repetitive or excessive. Alternatively, we may refuse to comply with your request in these Circumstances.

In this case, we will notify you and keep you updated. To exercise your rights, please contact us at [email protected].

Provision of personal data and failure to provide personal data
Where we need to collect personal data by law, or under the terms of a contract we have with you and you fail to provide that data when requested, we may not be able to perform the contract we have or are trying to enter into with you (for example, to provide you with our services). In this case, we will not be able to provide services to you.

– Legitimate Interest means the interest of our business in conducting and managing our business to enable us to give you the best service/product and the best and most secure experience. If we need to use your personal data for an unrelated purpose, we will notify you and we will explain the legal basis which allows us to do so. Please note that we may process your personal data without your knowledge or consent, in compliance with the above rules, where this is
required or permitted by law.

Collection of personal data from third party sources
We also collect personal data about you from various third parties and public sources.

Use of your personal data for marketing communication purposes

We strive to provide you with choices regarding certain personal data uses, particularly around marketing and advertising:

This is how we decide which products, services and offers may be relevant for you (we call this marketing). You will receive marketing communications from us if you have requested information from us or used our services and, in each case, you have not opted out of receiving that marketing.
– Third-party marketing: We will get your express opt-in consent before we share your personal data with any company outside our company for marketing purposes.
